The general theme for this competition is defined by UCF's Unifying Theme. This year's theme is:

"Water Conservation".

In keeping with this theme, the title of this year's meStories contest is "The Downstream Effect"

For this competition you are to assemble a two to three minute personal story that is recorded on video about change.... and how you, as an individual, could be the catalyst to change the world as it relates to water conservation. The video should be produced in the form of a personal narrative and relation to this topic.

The Essential Question is:

"How could you change the World (i.e., environment)?"

Other questions might be:

  • "Can changing me change the world?"
  • "Can one person change the environment?"
  • "What effect can one person have on to positively impact the environment as it relates to water conservation?"

You need to explain things like what changing you means and tell about you and your story and your perspective - anything you care to share about yourself and how your story could make a difference in changing the world you live in or tell how you could change the world around you.

The videos must be told in narrative form. In other words, these are personal stories (either real or fictionalized) that present the concept that you are proposing.

Not sure how to tell your story?
